The Gypsy Wagon has turned into a temporary herbal apothecary. And Murray figured out how to climb the ladder stairs to sit at the door.

Originally I designed the wagon as my Roaming Apothecary. Unfortunately after COVID and the break down of my relationship, I moved into a huge grief pit and tried to close down EntheoBotanica. We even had the closing down sale!

So I turned the roaming apothecary into a bedroom and we have been using it as my step sons room, and guests room. Still at her heart she was birthed into this world to be my creative space on wheels.

It feels ironic to be using it as such now out of just pure lack of space! Cause we live in the van and pretty permanently now. Im making tinctures from the Gypsy like I always dreamed. I hope one day I can design her back into the whole Apothecary I dreamed, but she will likely be an Airbnb for the next 5 years to pay for her. And that’s so cool! Life changes. And we change with it.

I am realising all my dreams created a lot of movement in my life. I have achieved so much, it’s incredible. But I never knew who I was, so much of my dreaming sent out ripples in every direction searching for myself.

Now I am a little careful about dreaming. Ill have to carry those prayers! So I focus on grounding. And let my prayers be held my the earth. I try to just keep it simple now.

Recently I sold heaps of stuff. Rock climbing gear. Surfboards. Hobbies. Cameras. I am stripping it all back to basics to help me focus on my mission. Be a creative artist.

I couldn’t quit plants! EntheoBotanica never closed. Just slept. And I find myself in an expanding relationship of natural lore, thanking plants and animals day after day. How could I be so blessed to have the coolest job in the world!!

Because I dreamed.

Bobinsana has been helping our hearts remain open. After some hard times I felt my sense of trust broken, and pulled away inside myself. The Bobinsana has been a heart tonic, rewiring my heart brain into sweet relaxation.

I've been asking myself why I do what I do. Why do I work with these plants, that sit at the edges of consciousness? That speak to us in our dreams, and bring up the dirt from the bottom of the lake, that help us to ask big questions, and help us to stop asking questions at all?

It's actually not just the plants that I'm really interested in. It's the transformative spaces they show up in to help us with. That's my spark.

i n i t i a t i o n

By the ceremonial fire, I was peeled back. It's warmth highlighting my own unbearable cold. Cold within my bones, unable to warm up. I was riddled with fear. It was buried so deep in my bones, that it animated the way I walked, held the fabric of my muscles together in my thighs. How had I never noticed these fears? Because I am an extra-ordinary being that has intelligently crafted a persona around my vulnerabilities to placate them. How did I even find myself here in the first person, face to face with the real me? Because I, like all people, yearn to be whole, and somewhere deep inside, I know who I really am.

And who I am not.. the deep, humbling fear. The fear was an inhale on pause, stuck in shock, never exhaling into the hands of the other. Filling my body with energy, eyes wide open, taking it all in - constantly. I had been holding the fear for so long that I couldn't remember a me without it. I could feel the female ancestors within me carrying it. This didn't begin with me...

Deep inherited feminine fear, asking to be purified by the fire.

I sang to myself. The music that comes through during initiation is completely pure. It's like singing to save my own life.

"You are welcome by this fire..
but only if you are willing to lay naked and be set alight"

It’s an interesting dilemma to consider how to create ceremony and rites of passage for the current generation. Without it, we tend to not reach our full potential, and miss a vibrant and magickal unseen world where dreaming, connecting, being guided and returning happen.

How do we remember our ancestors ways, when they lived far away and the lineages broken. When they worked with herbs and resins from different lands.

We love creating sacred spaces for people to cleanse, renew, sing, connect, release, return home to themselves. The land here has been a generous host to us as we try to find ways to mark times of transition.

I have been busy making sunscreen, infused oils, hair oil, a new range of tinctures and capping up herbs. It has been a creative winter. I have also created a new website layout and a whole range of new labels. Everything is feeling fresh and renewed.

Here is some Victorian wyld crafted st. Johns wort for a herbal oil. Id like to make this into a balm for pain relief.

Life is easeful and compassionately taking care of me. My little family have entered the slow down and draw in. It’s the best! We are homesteading and homebound. I can feel Solstice around the corner ~ a time to plant seeds.

Today’s garden gifts. The tiny white flowers are native nicatiana amplexicaulis, which I have heard the flowers are lovely to smoke 💐 Thank you tobacco gods.

Check out the doctrine of signatures on these leaves. 🍃 the stem appears to be piercing through the leaves. Any guesses as to what it is communicating? My first feeling was intense, as if a spear through the chest.

On a self care day I sunbake naked and steam to connect to my womb.

I used to think connecting to the wombspace was some new age enlightenment shakti goddess stuff. But I was judging it to protect myself from the reality that I was disconnected to my womb. Classic mind trick.

What does that even mean to be a woman disconnected from her womb?

It means I couldn’t feel my sexual energy fully, nor my own pleasure, nor the wisdom that connects me to my mother and grandmother. It means I was in my head and less in my body. And for good reason. As I have connected more through embodiment, there’s been what feels like a never ending void of grief available to me now. Yay.

Transpersonal grief as well as personal. Sometimes I feel the pain of Woman; persecuted, kept dependent, sold for her body to make sons for mankind, shamed, stoned, burnt, gas lighted as a crazy witch demon.

I have realised that Woman is a force to be feared and worshipped. She feels all, she deeply and intimately knows love and pain. She shape shifts. She lives inside a pleasure body. She speaks to the earth.

I think the ancient man feared her power, and created ways to keep her uneducated and of his husbandry. As we are coming home again, there is a lot of pain to feel. And I thank this modern man who holds her through it and adores her for it.

These plants will ask you to come into a different mode of perception.

The answers you are seeking in your healing will not come from the top down. They will not trickle down from experts or from your mind. They are rising up in a truly shamanic way from the bottom up, from within each of us.

We are not the spiders in the web, we are just strands of the web.

I am asking you to re-imagine what health & sickness is. These plants are capable of moving you, and you are invited to let them move you.

When we are healing we are being asked to let go of something we have falsely identified ourselves with. Let yourself be movable, let your ideas be unfixed.

You are birthing your health every moment. What are you listening to? What are you feeding yourself?

As I’ve been reflecting on healing, of course I’ve been going through my own. If you ever think you’ve got it - you’re at the moment before you lose it.

Health to me is my baseline, my centre point, my true beingness. I’m constantly oscillating with it & through it. Sometimes I rest at the centre for a while, before another constellation around the sphere of myself returns me to motion. Call it the stars, the moon, the seasons or the Gods; this is actually the journey of Love.

This is what love feels like. At times it’s being held in the gaze of the sacred with such a gravity that one is rooted unmovable as if we were the Earth itself. More often than not it’s a river flowing through all the parts of us that we have abandoned along the way.

Those moments of shame & loneliness that we collect along the way are then refelt, and more than that they are reimagined into the present with new perpetrators, protagonists & usually the same victim (ourselves). It’s hard to digest; love. It bathes all of us, asks all of us, it does not discriminate. And when we are broken it becomes the golden joinery of the Kintsugi pottery, mosaics of shattered clay sealed with gold in the cracks of ourselves.

And the way love teaches can be just so awfully annoying and inconvenient. I ask, “Why must I love these parts of myself”, when I am caught in the grips of shame. Love highlights not just the shame but the avoidance, the blame and ultimately if we look long enough, love softly enough, the untruths we tell ourselves. Shame is more than doing something regretful, it’s being someone regrettable. It is the heavy anchor sinking in the middle of my chest preventing me from speaking to how I feel, believing I am the problem rather than facing the problem.

Thankfully with the right amount of Love, we can bit by bit begin to digest who we are & realise what we are made of. It’s important to bathe in the sunlight for those precious moments of stillness & perfection, before continuing on the Long Walk Home, for there will be many pieces we find abandoned along the way.

This is me, walking home, and remembering how very lost I’ve been.
