This resin burner is a small dish carved from soapstone, and comes with a collapsable wooden stand. It makes a beautiful altar piece. The copper tongs for handling the incence are sold separately.

Resin burners are used as a safe and mess-free way to burn resin as an incense. To use, you will need to purchase charcoal discs or place live embers from a fire in the pot.

Hold the charcoal disc with the tongs to ensure you will not get burnt, then light the disc using either a lighter, jet lighter, or gas stove.
 
Once it has started to smoulder, place it in the soapstone dish, and the heat will slowly spread until the whole disc is red hot. You may want to do this in a well ventilated area, as some discs do give off some smoke when they first are lit. 

Once the disc is hot, you may drop your resin of choice onto it, and it will slowly melt and release it's fragrance. The discs can burn up to 45 minute sometimes, giving a good amount of time to work with the resin.
